The Retirement
Focus Programme
Many people in their mid to late fifties
have dedicated themselves to their work. These successful professionals
often approach retirement with mixed and sometimes conflicting
emotions. On
the one hand, a sense of excitement about the future, and on
the other, uncertainty and concerns arising from the imminent
loss of their professional status. This often leads to reduced
motivation and contribution. Managing and supporting these
individuals can be difficult and time consuming for senior
management.
Post-retirement is potentially a big
chunk of life - it could be more than 30 years. So
the transition period is a wonderful opportunity for the
individual to re-evaluate how they want to live their
life, and how to pursue their passions, dreams and goals.
However people tend to focus on the financial aspects of
retirement planning, neglecting to fully consider what
they are looking for from their life in retirement. There
is a strong risk of slipping into the traditional retirement
lifestyle with attitudes that can lead to disappointment,
boredom, restlessness, stress and illness.
We know this is unnecessary
and preventable, especially when retirement is treated
as a new beginning with new prospects and opportunities. Those
who actively manage this transition and plan for the
future can approach this phase of their life with confidence,
a sense of purpose and a spring in their step! The aim
of the Retirement Focus Programme is to help you do just
this. >>more
